"JELADO" 史上最高傑作となった
"LASTRESORT DENIM" 今回は更に、
ワイルドでヴィンテージ感の強いデニムを作りました。
黒タグを使い、ジェラードからは初となる
"1ST TYPE" のデニムジャケットです。
今期白タグの生成りで初めて製作した
"1STモデル" から生地を変え、
黒タグのインディゴでリプロダクションしました。
"LASTRESORT DENIM" の黒タグがポケット内側に
縫い付けられており"DEADSTOCKのXX" を
解体、分析をしたデニムから再現し白タグとは違う
新たなアプローチで製作した15ozの特別なデニムです。
(下記 ～LASTRESORT BLACK TAG～ 参照)
1stタイプの特徴である1ポケットのフラップ付き、
片面タブ、5つボタン、カフスボタンが内側、
バックストラップとわかりやすい見どころは
同様に再現しました。
この1stの前期後期と分けた際、前期はバックルが針刺し、
プリーツを留めるボックスステッチがボタンの高さがずれるため、
こちらは同様にボタンとステッチの高さを変え、
バックストラップも針刺しの前期を再現しております。
40年代以前の生地として黒タグを作っているので
同様の年代のアプローチとなります。
"2nd Type" に比べて衿付けが左右離れていたり、
袖付けが平置きするとT型になるところなど、
着用しやすい程度に踏襲して製作しました。
ジェラード社所有のヴィンテージ同様、
巻き縫い部分は20番 本縫い部分を30番の
縫製糸を使用し仕立てました。
レザーパッチはホースハイドを使用、
片面刺繍のレーヨンタブ、メッキ仕上げのオリジナル鉄製ボタン、
銅ずくのオリジナルリベットとしっかりと作りこんでおります。
＊40(L)~44(XXL)は商品仕様上の都合で
"T-back" デザインとなります。

〜LASTRESORT BLACK TAG〜
今から 2 年前、"JELADO" を立ち上げて15年を機に、社運をかけて "LAST RESORT DENIM" を生み出しました。
当時の "DEAD STOCK" を解体し、某分析機関で綿の繊維長の長さ、糸の太さや撚り回数、生地の打ち込み本数に至るまで、近い年代の2本の "DEAD STOCK" のデータからその数値に合わせた原綿から選定し、糸をつくり同じ打ち込み本数を50年代の織機で織り上げた至高のデニムとなります。
このデニムを作ることにより当時のXXデニムの特性、糸の質や生地感など今のデニムとの相違点など深く理解ができました。
その中でXXを再現するというミッションの中であえて触れてこなかった明確な行程を話すとしたら“色味” です。
ヴィンテージのような色味を出すところと紡績技術も今よりも発展しない、糸の質も今よりも悪い条件下で織り上げられたデニムの風合いや色目を再現すべく 作り上げたのが今回の "LAST RESORT 黒タグ" となります。
経糸緯糸白タグと同じ原綿を使用し（経 EMOT 緯カリフォルニアピマ ）糸を作り上げましたが、経糸には糸のネップが飛びやすいよう細工をしてよりムラを強く出しました。
ムラを強く入れることにより、縦の色落ちを長く走らせることができます。
ターゲットにしたヴィンテージを見ると緯糸の色のくすみというか目立つものでした。
当時の綿の色味が白というより黄ばんだ生成りのようにも見えました。
この色の深みも合わせて糸をつくりあげてから染色し生地を織りあげることにしました。
白タグとは違う染色工場に変えること全く違う色目になっております。
染色する工場によりロープの高さや、染めに入る工程なども違うので色の出方も変わります。
そしてこの工程の違いから 白タグは 14oz 黒タグ 15oz と生地の重みも変わったものになりました。
そして染色もあえて深く8回染めることにより、より濃いディープな青みの出たデニムに仕上がりました。
このデニムの色の深みとムラのきついワイルドなデニムをよりヘリテージな風合いを求めたモデルとして "LASTRESORT DENIM 黒タグ" として使用することにしました。
今後このデニムを使用するものは40年代以前のモデルのデニムウェアを仕立てるものとなります。
よりワイルドな見栄えと生地のタッチとなりますが、着用2日もすると白タグのような柔らかな穿き心地が前に出てストレスなくスルッとすべる滑らかな着心地に変貌します。
